Use it up, wear it out, make it do or do without” |
Paper and cardboard comes from trees and other plants so it's important to reduce how much we use.

Recycling Paper and Cardboard
|
Paper/flattened cardboard boxes for Wellington houses usually go into a paper and metal recycling bag. Householders receive bags from the city council each year but can also buy additional bags from some libraries. You'll also see paper recycling bins or flattened cardboard piles (Tuesday nights) around the city. As apartments look after their own recycling, put paper/cardboard into the right recycling bin. But if your apartment block doesn't have one, then you need to put it into the general rubbish. Ask your Body Corporate or Property Manager if they could add a recycling facility if you don't have paper/cardboard recycling. Paper and cardboard are separated out to make different qualities of paper and cardboard. They can only be recycled 5-7 times so it's important to reduce and reuse paper products wherever possible. Watch this video (2 minutes) to find out how paper and cardboard are recycled. |
